Waiting On Wednesday:

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
My pick this week is The Iron Thorn by Caitlyn Kitteredge.
The release date for this book is February 22 2011.

Goodreads description:

In the city of Lovecraft, the Proctors rule and a great Engine turns below the streets, grinding any resistance to their order to dust. The necrovirus is blamed for Lovecraft's epidemic of madness, for the strange and eldritch creatures that roam the streets after dark, and for everything that the city leaders deem Heretical—born of the belief in magic and witchcraft. And for Aoife Grayson, her time is growing shorter by the day.

Aoife Grayson's family is unique, in the worst way—every one of them, including her mother and her elder brother Conrad, has gone mad on their 16th birthday. And now, a ward of the state, and one of the only female students at the School of Engines, she is trying to pretend that her fate can be different.

I'm excited for this book because it seems like a fantasy/possibly dystopian (?), which I love. It sounds like an interesting story and I'm excited to read it!

What is your pick for this week?

  1. This one's on my wishlist too! It sounds really different.

  4. I recently discovered your blog and became a follower, and I've awarded you "One Lovely Blog Award." Congratulations! Check out my blog post about it, linked below, and follow the instructions. It's a really fun award, and a great way to discover new blogs.

    Congrats again!

Thanks for the comments! I read every single one and try to reply, either on your blog or another comment! They make my day!

As of 1/17/11, Book Infinity is an awards-free blog. My schedule is busy as could be, and I don't have time to follow all the rules to pass them on. But I really do appreciate the thought, thanks so much for thinking about me!
